It's the classic one-night stand: Beach wedding, bridesmaid, groom's friend. When Andrea and Damon meet, sparks fly, and they give in to the attraction. Sounds simple, but Andrea's still getting over someone, and Damon thought he'd be hooking up with another person that night. It could still be simple, really, if they chalk it up to a weekend tryst and move on.
But one night becomes lunch the week after, and then dinner the next weekend...and before they know it, Andrea and Damon are still together, dealing with the feelings they know they might still have for other people. How hard can it be to get exactly what you want? How do you even know what it is?
I don't even know where to start. This book has a looot of feels and until this moment, I still keep on reminiscing the dialogues and scenes.
I am not the type to read novels or watch romantic movies in which the heroine have one night stand/s. In fact, I hesitated signing up at first to get the ARC of this novel, but then it's written by THE Mina V. Esguerra, so why pass it up?
Little did I thought, the book would suck me in starting from it's first chapter. When you say one night stand, the next day you act like nothing happened, that's it. But not with Damon and Andrea. And I really liked that Mina wrote it like that.
Getting to know Andrea's flaws, I like that she's neither black or white, that I can still say she is a good person. Damon on the other hand, didn't feel like a stud but one of the most sought after, bachelor for me.
How they were able to manage what they wanted with the main reason/s why they even hooked up in the first place aka the people who dumped them, but still ended up falling for each other, made me tear up a little bit. I liked What You Wanted. A LOT. And it's so hard to part with it but, what to do but wait for another book. This is already in my favorites pile. Slow clap for you, Mina!
